Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Night Screen mobile application ("App") operated by Androxus ("we," "us," or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Night Screen, you agree to:

  • These Terms of Service
  • Our Privacy Policy
  • All applicable laws and regulations

2. Description of Service

Night Screen is an Android application that:

  • Dims your display and applies a blue light or custom colour filter, using an overlay drawn on top of your screen
  • Lets you turn the filter on and off manually, or schedule it to turn on at a sunset time and off at a morning time that you choose
  • Provides a Quick Settings tile and an optional daily reminder notification

The App changes only how your screen looks. It does not alter your device's hardware brightness setting or affect other apps beyond drawing its filter on top of them.

3. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own use, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except where that restriction is prohibited by law
  • Redistribute, sell, lease or sublicense the App
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose

4. Permissions and device access

The App asks for "display over other apps" permission to draw its screen filter, and may ask for notification permission for its status and reminder notifications. You choose whether to grant them, and you may revoke them at any time in Android Settings. Without the "display over other apps" permission, the App cannot show its filter.

5. Not a medical device

Night Screen's dimming and blue light filter modes are provided for comfort and convenience only. They are not medical devices, and we do not claim that they diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition, or guarantee improved sleep or eye health. If you have concerns about your eyes or your sleep, consult a qualified professional.

6. Free and Pro

The App is available at no cost with all three filter modes (Dim Light, Blue Light Filter and Advanced), and is supported by advertising. Night Screen Pro unlocks Auto Schedule and removes advertising.

  • Purchases are processed by Google Play, not by us
  • Pro is available as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase
  • Refunds are governed by the Google Play refund policy
  • We may change the features included in Free or Pro, with notice through app updates
  • Advertising is provided by Google AdMob and its mediation partners and is subject to consent where required by law. See the Privacy Policy

7. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. Features that depend on Android APIs or third-party services may stop working if those services change. We are not liable for such changes.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error free, or compatible with every device or Android version, or that Auto Schedule will activate at the exact time you set on every device, particularly where the device's own battery management restricts background apps.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Androxus is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Androxus harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the App or your breach of these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
