Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the PDF Reader mobile application ("App") operated by Androxus ("we," "us," or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PDF Reader, you agree to:

  • These Terms of Service
  • Our Privacy Policy
  • All applicable laws and regulations

2. Description of Service

PDF Reader is an Android application that:

  • Opens and displays PDF files you choose, or that you open from another app
  • Keeps a list of recently opened files and lets you mark favourites
  • Lets you open more than one PDF at a time in tabs, and switch between them
  • Lets you select, copy and share text from a PDF, and share whole PDF files with other apps

The App is provided as a tool for viewing and organising files you already have. It does not create or edit PDFs, and it does not store your files anywhere other than on your own device.

3. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own use, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except where that restriction is prohibited by law
  • Redistribute, sell, lease or sublicense the App
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose

4. Permissions and device access

Opening a PDF uses Android's own file picker, or the "Open with" action from another app. On Android 9 and earlier, the App may request storage permission before the picker opens. You choose whether to grant it, and you may change it at any time in Android Settings. The App does not request or use Android's "All files access" permission.

5. Your files

You are responsible for the PDF files you open, store and share using the App, and for having the right to view and share that content. The App does not inspect, verify, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy or legality of any file you open.

6. Advertising

The App is free to use and is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob. There is currently no paid version and no option within the App to remove ads. See the Privacy Policy for details on advertising.

7. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. Features that depend on Android APIs or third-party services may stop working if those services change. We are not liable for such changes.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error free, or compatible with every device or Android version.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Androxus is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Androxus harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the App or your breach of these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
