AOD Flow: Always On Display

Welcome to the official documentation for AOD Flow, an always-on display app that puts a customisable clock, your notifications and media controls on your lock screen whenever the screen would otherwise sit off.

What is AOD Flow?

AOD Flow adds an always-on display to your phone, including phones that don't have one built in. It draws a clock overlay on your lock screen while your phone is idle or charging, and keeps a matching clock ticking on your home screen through its own widgets.

Quick Start

  1. Install AOD Flow from Google Play
  2. Work through the setup steps and grant Display over other apps, so the AOD can appear on your lock screen
  3. On the Home tab, tap Start
  4. Tap Preview any time to see the AOD screen without waiting for your display to turn off
  5. Open the Templates, Look & Feel and Widgets tabs to make it your own

Requirements

  • Android 7.0 or later
  • Works on phones; some settings, such as notifications on the AOD and media controls, need Android's notification access permission
