Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Action Notch mobile application ("App") operated by Androxus ("we," "us," or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Action Notch, you agree to:

  • These Terms of Service
  • Our Privacy Policy
  • All applicable laws and regulations

2. Description of Service

Action Notch is an Android application that:

  • Turns your phone's notch or camera cutout into a customisable touch area for gestures you configure
  • Runs the action you assign to each gesture — opening apps and shortcuts, system navigation, capturing photos, video, audio and your screen, media and device controls, and other utilities
  • Provides the Dynamic Widgets deck, Rule-Based Actions, Notch Mirror and Quick Notes
  • Can send a broadcast or notification to third-party automation apps you choose to connect

The App is provided as a tool. It does not itself operate the apps, websites or automation platforms you choose to open or connect through it, and it does not control their content or availability.

3. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own use, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except where that restriction is prohibited by law
  • Redistribute, sell, lease or sublicense the App
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose, including to violate another person's privacy or legal rights

4. Permissions and device access

Some features need Android permissions or special access, including the Accessibility Service, Camera, Microphone, Contacts, and notification listener access. You choose whether to grant each one, and you may revoke any of them at any time in Android Settings; only the specific action that needed it will stop working.

5. Silent capture, recording and your responsibility

The App can take a photo, record video or audio, or record your screen — in several cases silently, meaning without a shutter sound or an on-screen announcement, beyond whatever indicator Android itself shows, such as the camera or microphone indicator or the screen-recording notification.

You are solely responsible for how you use these features, including for complying with all applicable laws on recording, photographing, wiretapping and consent in your location, and for respecting the privacy and legal rights of anyone you photograph, film or record. Do not use the App to capture anyone without the consent required by law, or to capture content you do not have the right to capture. We are not responsible for how you use the App's capture and recording features.

6. Accessibility Service

The App's core feature — detecting a touch on your notch or camera cutout — requires Android's Accessibility Service permission. By turning it on, you authorise the App to use that access as described in the Privacy Policy. You may revoke it at any time in Android Settings, which stops the App from detecting touches on the notch until you turn it back on.

7. Automation integrations

The Run Automation action can send information to third-party automation apps, such as Tasker, MacroDroid or Automate, if you set one up. We do not control those apps and are not responsible for what they do with what they receive. Your use of any such app is governed by its own terms.

8. Free and Pro

The App is available at no cost with a core set of gestures and actions, and is supported by advertising shown in the App's own screens. Action Notch Pro unlocks further gestures and actions and removes advertising.

  • Purchases, whether a subscription or a one-time purchase, are processed by Google Play, not by us
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; manage or cancel them from the Google Play Store
  • Refunds are governed by the Google Play refund policy
  • We may change the features included in Free or Pro, with notice through app updates
  • Advertising is provided by Google AdMob, sometimes through Meta Audience Network, and is subject to consent where required by law. See the Privacy Policy

9. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. Features that depend on Android APIs or third-party services may stop working if those services change. We are not liable for such changes.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error free, or compatible with every device or Android version.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Androxus is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Androxus harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the App or your breach of these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
