User Guide¶

This guide covers all features of AudioPay and how to use them effectively.

Getting Started¶

Installation¶

Download AudioPay from the Google Play Store
Open the app and follow the onboarding flow
Select your preferred voice language
Grant the required permissions

Required Permissions¶

Notification Access (Mandatory)¶

This permission allows the app to read UPI payment notifications.

When prompted, tap "Enable"
Find "AudioPay" in the list
Toggle it ON
Confirm the permission dialog

Important

Without Notification Access, the app cannot detect payments or play voice alerts.

Post Notifications (Optional)¶

Allows the app to show notifications for alerts and updates.

Voice Alerts¶

How It Works¶

You receive a UPI payment on any supported app
AudioPay detects the notification
The app extracts the amount and sender
A voice announcement plays: "Received [amount] rupees from [sender]"

Supported Languages¶

Changing Language¶

Go to Settings tab
Tap Alert Language
Select your preferred language
Test with the Test Alert button

Indian Numbering System¶

Amounts are announced using the Indian numbering system:

1,00,000 → "One lakh"
10,00,000 → "Ten lakh"
1,00,00,000 → "One crore"

Transaction History¶

Viewing Transactions¶

Go to the Collection tab
View all received payments
Use filter chips to filter by time period:
- Today
- Yesterday
- This Week
- This Month
- Custom Range

Transaction Details¶

Each transaction shows:

Sender name (if available)
Amount received
Source app (Google Pay, PhonePe, etc.)
Date and time

Adding Manual Transactions¶

Tap the + button
Enter the amount
Enter sender name (optional)
Tap Add

Deleting Transactions¶

Tap Edit in the top right
Tap the delete icon on transactions to remove
Tap Done when finished

QR Code¶

Adding UPI IDs¶

Go to the QR Code tab
Tap Add UPI ID
Enter a label (e.g., "Shop", "Personal")
Enter your UPI ID
Tap Save

Generating QR Codes¶

Select a UPI ID from the list
Optionally enter a fixed amount
The QR code is generated automatically
Show to customers for payment

Generate a QR code
Tap the Share button
Choose your sharing method

Reports¶

Viewing Reports¶

Go to the Reports tab
View earnings summaries:
- Today vs Yesterday
- This Week vs Last Week
- This Month vs Last Month

Understanding Charts¶

Green indicates increase from previous period
Red indicates decrease from previous period
Percentage change is shown for comparison

Signing in is optional but enables:

Cloud backup of transactions (Premium)
Team feature (Premium)
Sync across devices (Premium)

Go to Settings tab
Tap Sign in with Google
Choose your Google account
Grant permissions

Signing Out¶

Go to Settings tab
Tap on your profile or Sign Out
Confirm sign out

Data After Sign Out

Your local transaction history remains on the device after signing out.

Premium Features¶

Team Mode - Share alerts with team members
Cloud Sync - Backup transactions to cloud
Ad-Free - Remove all advertisements

Subscribing¶

Go to Settings tab
Tap Upgrade to Premium
Choose your subscription plan
Complete purchase via Google Play

Team Mode (Premium)¶

Creating a Team¶

Subscribe to Premium
Go to Team tab
Tap Create Team
Enter a team name
Share the invite code with members

Joining a Team¶

Go to Team tab
Enter the 6-digit invite code
Tap Join

As Team Owner¶

Team members see your UPI QR codes
Payment alerts are sent to all members
You can remove members anytime

As Team Member¶

You receive payment alerts from the owner
You can display owner's QR codes to customers
Useful for shops with multiple staff

Leaving a Team¶

Go to Team tab
Tap Leave Team
Confirm your decision

Settings¶

Alert Sound¶

Toggle voice alerts on/off.

Vibration¶

Enable haptic feedback when payments are received.

Language¶

Change the voice announcement language.

Permissions¶

Check and manage app permissions.

Test Alert¶

Play a test voice announcement to verify settings.

Tips for Best Experience¶

Keep the app running - Don't force-close the app
Disable battery optimization - Prevents the system from killing the app
Grant all permissions - Especially Notification Access
Use a clear language - Choose the language you understand best
Keep volume up - Ensure media volume is audible
