General¶

What is LED Flow?¶

A full-screen scrolling LED banner for Android. Type a message, style it to look like a real LED sign, and show it full-screen, or share it as an animated GIF.

Which Android versions are supported?¶

Android 7.0 and later.

Is there an iOS version?¶

No. LED Flow is Android only.

Does LED Flow need an internet connection?¶

No, the scrolling display itself works entirely on your device. Your device still needs a connection for ads (unless you've bought Pro), to check a Google Play purchase, and for some background diagnostics. See the Privacy Policy for detail.

Display & Customisation¶

How many fonts, colours and patterns are there?¶

10 fonts, 8 text colours, 8 background colours and 3 LED dot patterns (Circle, Square, Diamond). Some of each are Pro-only; see Free and Pro.

Can the display stay on over my lock screen?¶

Yes. The full-screen display is designed to stay visible even where your screen would otherwise lock.

How do I exit the full-screen display?¶

Double-tap it, if Double Tap to Exit is on in Settings (it is by default). Otherwise use your device's usual back or home gesture.

What does Enable Glow Effects do, and why can't I turn it on?¶

It draws a soft glow around each lit LED dot. It only works while Enable High Quality Mode is also on, and it's demanding enough that it may cause lag on older devices.

Can I make the text readable in a mirror?¶

Yes, turn on Mirror inversion on the Look & Feel tab.

Tap the share button on the main screen. LED Flow renders it as an animated GIF and opens your device's share sheet.

Why did creating the GIF fail?¶

Very long text combined with a slow scroll speed can produce a GIF that's too large to share. Shorten the message or increase the scroll speed, then try again.

Does the shared GIF have a watermark?¶

The free version adds a small "Created with LED Flow" mark. Pro removes it with Remove GIF watermark on the Look & Feel tab.

Where is my message history, and how much does it keep?¶

On the History tab, most recent first, kept on your device. LED Flow keeps your last 100 messages; you can share, edit or delete any entry.

Pro¶

What does Pro unlock?¶

Every font, text colour, background colour and LED dot pattern, watermark-free GIF sharing, and no ads. See Free and Pro.

What Pro plans are available?¶

A yearly subscription, a monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Exact prices and any free trial are shown in the app.

How do I restore a purchase?¶

Purchases are tied to your Google account and restore automatically when you sign in to Google Play with that account. You can also use Restore Purchases on the upgrade screen.

Privacy¶

Does LED Flow read my notifications or screen content?¶

No. LED Flow has no accessibility service and no notification-reading component, so it cannot see your notifications or other apps' screens.

Is my message or my history sent anywhere?¶

No. The message you're scrolling, and your History, are stored only on your device.

Does LED Flow show ads?¶

Yes, in the free version: an ad when you open the app, a banner on the main screen, a banner if you back out of the app, a native ad in the corner of the full-screen display, and an interstitial ad after you close it. Buying Pro removes all of them. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
