Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Action Dot mobile application ("App") operated by Androxus ("we," "us," or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Action Dot, you agree to:

  • These Terms of Service
  • Our Privacy Policy
  • All applicable laws and regulations

2. Description of Service

Action Dot is an Android application that:

  • Displays a floating button over your other apps, with actions triggered by a tap, a touch-and-hold, or its menu
  • Performs system actions such as Home, Back, Recent Apps, Notifications, Quick Settings, the Power Menu and screenshots, using Android's Accessibility Service
  • Captures screenshots, screen recordings, and silent photo, video and audio recordings that you trigger, saved to your device
  • Provides device controls (flashlight, brightness, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane Mode, Do Not Disturb and more), media controls, a calculator and a QR code scanner
  • Lets you create home screen shortcuts for individual actions, and integrates with automation apps such as Tasker, MacroDroid and Automate

The App is provided as a tool. Every action it performs is triggered by you, and its automation and shortcut features act only within your own device.

3. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own use, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except where that restriction is prohibited by law
  • Redistribute, sell, lease or sublicense the App
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose

4. Accessibility service

Some of the App's core features — the floating button, and actions such as Home, Back, Recent Apps, Notifications, Quick Settings, the Power Menu and Screenshot — require you to turn on Accessibility Service for the App in Android Settings. You choose whether to grant this, and you may turn it off at any time in Android Settings; the floating button and everything that depends on it will stop working. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what the service does and does not do.

5. Recording features and your responsibility

The App can capture screenshots, screen recordings, and silent photo, video and audio recordings — including from the front and rear cameras and the microphone — without necessarily showing an on-screen camera preview first. You are solely responsible for how you use these features, including:

  • Complying with all applicable laws on recording, surveillance and consent in your jurisdiction, including any requirement to obtain the consent of people you record or photograph
  • Not using the App to record, photograph or listen in on anyone without the right to do so
  • Respecting the privacy of others, and any rules of a workplace, venue or device that is not your own

We are not responsible for how you use the App's recording features, and we do not review, monitor or have access to anything you capture.

6. Permissions and device access

Some features require Android permissions or special access, including the Accessibility Service, camera, microphone, contacts and usage access, among others. You choose whether to grant them, and you may revoke them at any time in Android Settings; only the specific action that depends on that permission will stop working.

7. Automation and shortcuts

The App can send a local broadcast to automation apps such as Tasker, MacroDroid or Automate, and can create home screen shortcuts that trigger a specific action. We do not control these third-party apps and are not responsible for their availability, behaviour, or what they do once they receive a broadcast the App sends them.

8. Free and Pro

The App is available at no cost, with a core set of actions and appearance options, and is supported by advertising shown inside the App's own screens, never in the floating button or its menus. Action Dot Pro unlocks the full set of actions — including Choose Apps (Most Used, Recently Used and Custom Selected), Open App Activity (Advanced), Scan QR Code, rear-camera silent photo and video, Silent Audio Recording, Next Track, Previous Track and Toggle Sound/Vibrate — plus every colour and icon style, and removes ads.

  • Pro is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase
  • Purchases are processed by Google Play, not by us
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancel any time in your Google Play subscription settings
  • Refunds are governed by the Google Play refund policy
  • We may change the features included in Free or Pro, with notice through app updates

9. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. Features that depend on Android APIs or third-party apps may stop working if those change. We are not liable for such changes.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App, or any specific action, will be uninterrupted, error free, or compatible with every device, Android version, or manufacturer's battery-management settings.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Androxus is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Androxus harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the App, including its recording features, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
